Krakatoa

After a £500,000 re-vamp in 2015, the former The Moorings Bar on Trinity Quay/Guild Street re-invented itself as a tiki cocktail bar. It’s also a night club with a Hawaiian theme with live music, and no less than 42 draft beers and ciders.

The Tunnels

A top spot for live music, The Tunnels – as the name suggests – is located underground in two subterranean arches. One reviewer said “If I didn’t live elsewhere I’d go every weekend. Great venue, people, and music. You Scottish know how to party!”

Cheers Bar And Club

Aberdeen’s only LGBT club doesn’t open until 11.30pm and then goes through till 2.00 or 3.00. Sunday to Thursday House Spirits and Dash are only £1.40! If you want some extra naughtiness for your party they have a strippers licence too. Hire their strippers or bring your own.

The Institute

The Institute doesn’t look like very much from the outside – pretty much like an “institute”. But wait until you get inside. Wow! A big dance floor. Amazing lighting. VIP booths with exclusive table service where you can party to your heart’s content. And an hour long cocktail masterclass where you can learn to mix your own.

Club Tropicana

Are you an 80’s music fan? Club Tropicana is for you. On Fridays and Saturdays you can rock to Spandau Ballet, Duran Duran, Haircut 100, Madonna, Erasure, and more. Two large bars provide Castaway and Red Stripe, and plenty of fishbowls and shots.
