Top Rated Restaurants In Glasgow

Number 16

Set in Glasgow’s West End, Number 16 offers a new approach and new ideas to Scottish cooking in the 21st century. The menu changes regularly and the emphasis is on using seasonal Scottish produce. For special occasions you can have exclusive use of the ground floor or mezzanine.

Ubiquitous Chip

“The Chip” as it is known locally has been open since 1971 and offers excellent food and impeccable service. Over the years it has won numerous awards and has built up a network of specialist suppliers who provide seasonal foods. The wine list of over 300 wines makes you spoilt for choice.

The Gannet Glasgow

Another multi-award winning restaurant in Finnieston, The Gannet has an ever-changing menu, but always features seafood, meats, and vegetarian choices. You get big portions at The Gannet because it was named for those who have hearty appetites.

Cail Bruich

This restaurant has just been included in The Sunday Times list of Britain’s 100 best restaurants. All produce is British grown and reared and is delivered fresh daily. The wine list features small producers and there is a range of Scottish malts and craft ales.

Ox and Finch

Ox and Finch offers a very reasonably priced menu with starters all less than £4.50 and mains £9.50 or less. Delicacies such as rabbit rillettes with prunes, laphroaig, and smoked potato salad, or confit duck leg with spiced red cabbage and celeriac, with perhaps toffee pudding and poached pear and lemon to finish. Scrumptious!
