2. Avatar Hallelujah Mountain, China

Avatar Hallelujah Mountain is a mountain located in the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, in northwestern Hunan Province, China. Zhangjiajie is famous for its unique 3,000 vertical pillars, which are hundreds of feet tall and covered in dense green foliage.

Standing at 1,080 metres high, the quartz-sandstone pillar was the inspiration for the floating mountains in the film “Avatar”. We can certainly see why this magnificent place was chosen!
