Situated on the uninhabited island of Staffa in the Inner Hebrides, Fingal’s Cave is renowned for its stunning acoustics. Thanks to the arched roof, the motion of the sea makes the waves sing in melodies, which is known as the cave’s choir.

Some insist that it must be man made because of its hexagonal rock columns, formed millions of years ago by volcanic eruptions.

2. Avatar Hallelujah Mountain, China

Avatar Hallelujah Mountain is a mountain located in the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, in northwestern Hunan Province, China. Zhangjiajie is famous for its unique 3,000 vertical pillars, which are hundreds of feet tall and covered in dense green foliage.

Standing at 1,080 metres high, the quartz-sandstone pillar was the inspiration for the floating mountains in the film “Avatar”. We can certainly see why this magnificent place was chosen!

3. Zion National Park, Utah, United States
