What to Do:

The FIFA World Football Museum attracts visitors from all over the world, football fans or not. Housed across three floors, there are thousands of items of exclusive memorabilia and apparel to see, interactive experiences to take part in and plenty of history to discover.

The beautiful Altstadt, or Old Town, is great for a leisurely wander. Stroll through the narrow cobbled streets, admire the 19th century architecture and walk up to Lindenhof Park for panoramic views of Lake Zurich and beyond.

Bikes can be hired for no cost in the city, providing a deposit is pre-paid. With over 340km of cycling routes throughout the city, visitors can freely explore as far and as wide as they wish.

Switzerland is home to hearty, traditional cuisine influenced by French, German and Italian flavours. There’s also a few Swiss specialities that simply must be tasted upon visiting.

Cheese fondue is a firm favourite with the locals. What can be better than a huge pot filled with melted cheese and crusty bread?! Get your fix at Le Dézaley, a restaurant renowned for its fondue. It specialises in fine, local food and wine from the Suisse-Romande region.

The city is home to Hiltl, the world’s oldest vegetarian restaurant. Choose from over 500 dishes or indulge in the famous Hiltl buffet where food is weighed to determine the price of the meal. Hot dishes, fresh salads and desserts await visitors.

Where to Drink:

Tourists need not ever go thirsty in Zurich. Fresh drinking water is available from over 1,200 fountains dotted all over the city. All visitors have to do is provide their own reusable water bottle.

As with most major cities, trendy bars are hidden around every corner. The Old Crow Bar is special, however, which is situated just a stone’s throw from Limmat River. Offering over 1,600 spirits, the majority being fine whiskies, traditional and forgotten cocktails are served alongside their very own inventive creations.
